Beginner Skills Area

Learn more about all implemented summer COVID-19 protocols.

The Big White Beginner Skills park is located just below the village and past the Jimmy Spencer Memorial Bridge. The skills park features a variety of wooden features designed to progress riders’ skills as they work their way downhill; from fun and easy platforms at the top to and north shore style skinnies at the bottom. The skills park ends at the top of Seasonal Allergies, a mellow cross country trail that descends to the bottom of the plaza climb trail. The Plaza climb trail can be used to access the village area once again as beginners progress their downhill skills to prepare riders to longer and more vigorous downhill descents like Bumblebee, and Pry Bar, and the rest of the bike park.

Features include: a 48ft long triple roller box, three progressive skinny wooden bridges, and a variety of wooden ramps and drops.
